France topped the Pool B3 standings after week one with a 3-0 weekend, earning eight of the nine points available to take on the week. The French started their weekend with a five-set battle against Venezuela, who finished second in the pool behind France. The loss gave them only two points for the win instead of the three available with a three or four set match.

France was led by Alexandra Dascalu in the first weekend, putting down 45 points.

Algeria struggled this week as they went 0-3 and won no sets.
